The FinTrU Charity Fund - Supporting Organisations Across the UK & Portugal

The FinTrU Charity Fund supports our UK and Portugal based employees in their fundraising activities across a wide range of charities.

As part of our commitment to make a positive contribution to our local communities, it gives our employees and committees the autonomy to choose a specific charity that is close to their heart and to organise their own fund-raising events.

Republic of Ireland Charity Partner

Based in Letterkenny, Donegal Hospice is a palliative care home run by a dedicated team of professionals covering the county of Donegal.

Since 2024, the hospice has been the charity partner of FinTrU's Letterkenny site. Alongside fundraising throughout the year, employees also volunteer their spare time to help out at the care home. Regular fundraisers organised by the Letterkenny Charity committee include an annual quiz, the Easter egg roll, and bake sales throughout the year.

Culture of Sustainability

Sustainability continues to play an important role in day-to-day life at FinTrU. We continue to assess and reassess where and how we can play our part in contributing to a greener future.

  • All of our merchandise is made with sustainability in mind. Office notebooks, pens and signage are all crafted from recycled plastic and wood. We have sustainable metallic water bottles, umbrellas made from 100% recycled product, and hoodies that are 100% cotton.
  • We continue to work with Trees on the Land – a cross-border initiative dedicated to establishing young native trees across the island of Ireland – with over 14,000 trees having been planted across 40 sites to date through our partnership.
  • Solar panels are in place at our head office and Cromac Place in Belfast. In 2024 we generated 10,105 kilowatts which is the equivalent of saving 1960kg of CO2.
  • Electric vehicles for business use, with EV charging points at offices in Belfast, Derry-Londonderry, and Letterkenny.
