We are honoured to have been recognised over the years by receiving accolades on local, national and international levels.
In December, we were honoured to pick up awards for both Company of the Year and Employer of the Year at the Business Awards. It also marked a hat-trick of results with this being the third year in succession that FinTrU was awarded Company of the Year.
The Sunday Times has named FinTrU in its list of Britain's 100 fastest-growing companies. The list celebrates and applauds Britain's 100 leading entrepreneurial business, shining a light on the people leading these private companies.
FinTrU placed 78th in the list and is also the only Northern Ireland headquartered company to feature.
On Thursday 8 June, at a packed Titanic Belfast, we picked up the Best Company To Work For award at The Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards.
This was the second year in a row that we have received this accolade, with the judging panel noting Febulous (a month of health and wellbeing activities across the company) and creating a sense of camaraderie and teamwork as contributing factors.
The Business Eye Awards are always a prestigious event and it was a huge accolade to be recognised as Company of the Year for the second year in succession.
It was a night of double celebration at Titanic Belfast as FinTrU took home two awards: Best Employee Development Programme and Best Place to Work.
For the second year in a row, FinTrU was announced as one of Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies by the Financial Times. The Financial Times, in partnership with Statista, sought to identify the 1,000 European companies with the strongest growth between 2017 and 2020 to feature in their annual FT1000 Europe's Fastest Growing Companies League Table.
We were honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade) in 2022 for ‘Outstanding Continuous Growth’ in overseas sales over the last six years.
In June 2021, we were awarded the Silver Diversity Mark for our continued commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The Diversity Mark is awarded to companies following an independent assessment process which ensures they have reached the required standard of commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion. FinTrU is one of seven organisations in Northern Ireland to have been awarded the Silver Diversity Mark out of 90 organisations.
In December 2020, we were named in The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 as the 42nd fastest-growing company across the whole of the UK. The league table features the UK’s 100 private companies with the fastest growth over the last three years.
FinTrU Founder & CEO, Darragh McCarthy, said “This is a fantastic achievement and something that all our employees should be immensely proud of. Each and every member of the team has played a crucial role in FinTrU’s success so far and this national recognition is testament to their hard work and dedication during their FinTrU careers.”
We saw off stiff competition from some of Northern Ireland's best companies to be awarded The Company Of The Year at the 2021 Business Eye Awards. To be recognised for any award is always a huge compliment, but taking home top honours for Company Of The Year was an honour that can be shared by every one of FinTrU's employees.
In October 2021, we won the Business Success award for the third year in a row.
Head of Business Banking Belfast at Bank of Ireland UK [the event’s sponsor] Paul McClurg said: “Despite the most challenging trading period in recent history, Belfast businesses have once again shown their resilience and have created some exceptional results under extreme pressure."
