The São João festival has been celebrated in the city of Porto for over 600 years. Celebrated on June 23 with the whole city coming together in a feast of food, fun and fireworks, it is a huge event in the Porto calendar.
In recognition of the festival, last week a group of FinTrU employees brought São João to our Porto charity partner, Acreditar. Whipping up a traditional celebratory dinner, including grilled sardines, bifanas (traditional Portuguese sandwiches) and classic Portuguese sweets, the children and families at Acreditar got to enjoy a fantastic meal together.
FinTrU Porto will carry on its fundraising and work with its charity partner Acreditar throughout the year.
