DARRAGH MCCARTHY
FOUNDER & CEO
Darragh McCarthy is the CEO and Founder of FinTrU. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1994 and remained there until late 2012. During his time at Morgan Stanley, Darragh was based in London, Frankfurt and New York and held various responsibilities including Global COO for Institutional Securities, COO for EMEA, Head of Fixed Income Sales North America and Head of Fixed Income Sales EMEA.
In 2013 Darragh founded FinTrU recognising the increasing demand from Global Investment Banks for high-quality resources to navigate the ever-increasing regulatory landscape. Whilst managed as a profit-driven organisation, Darragh also considers FinTrU as having a social purpose to create high-quality professional employment on the island of Ireland.
Darragh has a First Class Honours BComm International from University College of Dublin, Ireland. He has been nominated for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. Darragh speaks fluent German and Dutch.

FinTrU welcomes two new Financial Services Academies

An exciting beginning to 2019 as two new Financial Services Academies begin their journeys at FinTrU.
FinTrU welcomed Academy XI, the 11th Financial Services Academy to join the Belfast Offices. The Academy provides graduates with practical, real-world training and enables graduates to work within FinTrU’s main product areas; Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, KYC and Consultancy.
The Academy graduates will receive classroom-based training to prepare them for a career at FinTrU. They will undergo a six-week bespoke training programme at Belfast Met and Ulster University and will receive classroom-based training to prepare them for a career at FinTrU.
Our growing North West office warmly welcomed the second Financial Services Academy. The additional twenty graduates will now complete their training at North West Regional College and Ulster University.
FinTrU would like to welcome both Academies and wish you good luck throughout the Academy experience.
