Victoria Collins is a senior Risk Management Executive whose 25+ year career includes roles in several leading financial institutions (Nomura, Lloyds Bank, LCH Clearnet, UBS, Credit Suisse, Chemical Bank). Early in her career, she was a product controller and a trader, before transitioning to the newly formed Risk team at UBS in 1996. She has remained in Risk ever since. During the 2008 Financial Crisis she worked at LCH Clearnet where she had to trade out of the Lehman’s equity and equity derivatives portfolio after the clearing house put them into default.
Most recently she has been responsible for the global Risk governance frameworks at Nomura, delivering solutions that meet the internal and external demands across the wide range of jurisdictions in which the bank operates. Additionally, she is the business manager for the global Risk division, which includes managing the strategy, budget and headcount for the division of circa 500 people.
She is also a keen sports person, competing regularly in cycling events, and snowboarding or horse riding regularly as well.
