DARRAGH MCCARTHY
FOUNDER & CEO
Darragh McCarthy is the CEO and Founder of FinTrU. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1994 and remained there until late 2012. During his time at Morgan Stanley, Darragh was based in London, Frankfurt and New York and held various responsibilities including Global COO for Institutional Securities, COO for EMEA, Head of Fixed Income Sales North America and Head of Fixed Income Sales EMEA.
In 2013 Darragh founded FinTrU recognising the increasing demand from Global Investment Banks for high-quality resources to navigate the ever-increasing regulatory landscape. Whilst managed as a profit-driven organisation, Darragh also considers FinTrU as having a social purpose to create high-quality professional employment on the island of Ireland.
Darragh has a First Class Honours BComm International from University College of Dublin, Ireland. He has been nominated for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. Darragh speaks fluent German and Dutch.

FinTrU announces appointment of Steven Hewlett-Light as Head of Product Management

LONDON, ENGLAND: FinTrU has today announced the appointment of Steven Hewlett-Light as Head of Product Management
Steven joins the company with 18 years of experience in Product and Technology delivery roles, spanning across
Retail Banking, Wealth Management and FinTech sectors.
Prior to joining FinTrU, Steven was Head of Product Delivery and Marketing at RegTech startup, Recordsure. He was responsible for product strategy and client delivery for a range of innovative and leading-edge products in the speech and document analytics domain, helping deliver efficiency and customer insight for some of the biggest banks and financial services firms in the UK and Australia.
Steven has previously held roles with Lloyds Banking Group, Coutts and Brewin Dolphin, and has experience in bringing new products to market in sectors including Banking, RegTech, Payments, Savings, Loyalty and Reward, and Social.
At FinTrU, Steven will be guiding the firm's product strategy and establishing and leading the product team with the aim of delivering high-quality, purpose-driven products for our clients and services teams.
