DARRAGH MCCARTHY
FOUNDER & CEO
Darragh McCarthy is the CEO and Founder of FinTrU. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1994 and remained there until late 2012. During his time at Morgan Stanley, Darragh was based in London, Frankfurt and New York and held various responsibilities including Global COO for Institutional Securities, COO for EMEA, Head of Fixed Income Sales North America and Head of Fixed Income Sales EMEA.
In 2013 Darragh founded FinTrU recognising the increasing demand from Global Investment Banks for high-quality resources to navigate the ever-increasing regulatory landscape. Whilst managed as a profit-driven organisation, Darragh also considers FinTrU as having a social purpose to create high-quality professional employment on the island of Ireland.
Darragh has a First Class Honours BComm International from University College of Dublin, Ireland. He has been nominated for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. Darragh speaks fluent German and Dutch.

FinTrU wins employer and fast growth business of the year at the AIB Business Eye Awards

It was a fantastic night at ICC Belfast as companies from across Northern Ireland gathered to celebrate the 2019 AIB Business Eye Awards.
The Business Eye Awards have been running for 14 years and are one of the most prestigious award shows in Northern Ireland.
It proved to be a successful evening for FinTrU as the judges named the company as ‘Fast Growth Business of the Year’ and ‘Employer of the Year'. It was the second year in a row that FinTrU were awarded with the ‘Fast Growth’ accolade.
Darragh McCarthy, FinTrU Founder & CEO, said "all our employees across Northern Ireland can take great pride in this recognition. Without their hard work and dedication this success wouldn't have been possible so these award wins are truly for them."
FinTrU was also in attendance at the British Chamber Business Awards at Tobacco Dock in London and was named as runner up in the ‘Employer of the Year’ category.
