DARRAGH MCCARTHY
FOUNDER & CEO
Darragh McCarthy is the CEO and Founder of FinTrU. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1994 and remained there until late 2012. During his time at Morgan Stanley, Darragh was based in London, Frankfurt and New York and held various responsibilities including Global COO for Institutional Securities, COO for EMEA, Head of Fixed Income Sales North America and Head of Fixed Income Sales EMEA.
In 2013 Darragh founded FinTrU recognising the increasing demand from Global Investment Banks for high-quality resources to navigate the ever-increasing regulatory landscape. Whilst managed as a profit-driven organisation, Darragh also considers FinTrU as having a social purpose to create high-quality professional employment on the island of Ireland.
Darragh has a First Class Honours BComm International from University College of Dublin, Ireland. He has been nominated for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. Darragh speaks fluent German and Dutch.

FinTrU shortlisted for ‘Excellence in Marketing’, ‘Business Growth’ and ‘Best Company to Work For’ at Belfast Telegraph and Belfast Business Awards

FinTrU is pleased to announce it has been successfully shortlisted for three awards in the past week.
In the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards, FinTrU has been shortlisted for the ‘Excellence in Marketing’ category. The Belfast Telegraph Business Awards recognise and celebrate the business successes of individuals and organisations across Northern Ireland.
Now in their 17th year, these prestigious awards attract entries from across all sectors and sizes of businesses and culminate in a black-tie gala awards ceremony in the Crowne Plaza, Belfast on Thursday 2 May 2019.
FinTrU has also been shortlisted for both the ‘Business Growth’ and ‘Best Company to Work For’ categories at the Belfast Business Awards.
The Belfast Business Awards are hosted by Belfast Chamber and have become synonymous with recognising, promoting and rewarding the excellence of Belfast-based companies. The black-tie gala awards ceremony take place on Friday 10 May 2019.
