MEET THE APPRENTICES
There's nothing like learning on the job. Four FinTrU Tech apprentices discuss what their FinTrU experience has been like so far...

Aimee studies cyber security, networking and infrastructure software at Belfast Met
How has FinTrU supported you during your Apprenticeship?
From day one I felt really welcomed and part of the team. The company really took into consideration the topics I will be studying in tech and have given me a rotation of three different areas of IT to ensure I learn new skills and gain knowledge.
Why would you recommend an Apprenticeship at fintru?
I would definitely recommend FinTrU as a company to work with for an apprenticeship as everyone is very supportive and always there to help. I love how much they value their staff and how many opportunities they offer within the company.

How has FinTrU supported you during your Apprenticeship?
FinTrU's support has been astronomical! They have always ensured that I understand the task that I've been assigned and I've been given the chance to explore other departments of FinTrU to help with my studies. There has been constant communication with my manager on how I'm progressing, and I have received one of the highest levels of training to help me level up my professionalism in the workplace
Why would you recommend an Apprenticeship at fintru?
Aligned with FinTrU's support you will get to meet lots of lovely and unique colleagues who all specialise in something different so there is always room to hear and learn about their experiences.

RACHEL MCGARRY - IT JUNIOR ANALYST 2

Rachel is an IT apprentice who studies financial technology at Ulster University
How has FinTrU supported you during your Apprenticeship?
FinTrU has supported me through my apprenticeship by giving me an array of learning opportunities. I've been going through rotations in each team within the tech team and I've learned some really valuable things in each that I would not have been able to learn elsewhere.
Why would you recommend an Apprenticeship at fintru?
An apprenticeship at FinTrU allows you to build such a range of skills. I've built on my programming in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and more as well as getting to grow softer skills like presentation skills. There are many growth opportunities to avail of here. There's also such a good company culture here which makes it a nice place to work!.
Stuart is currently doing an apprenticeship in financial technology through Ulster University
How has FinTrU supported you during your Apprenticeship?
The amount of support and guidance that FinTrU has provided me with is more than I ever could have imagined. From doing rotations into the different areas of the technology team to providing unlimited, excellent training resources through Pluralsight and Udemy, I have been able to learn and develop so much already.
Why would you recommend an Apprenticeship at fintru?
Everyone at FinTrU is friendly, welcoming, supportive and always happy to help. You are made to feel valued and that your opinions and ideas matter regardless of what level you are at. There are also countless opportunities to get involved and plenty of social events to take part in.
