FinTrU continues fast-paced growth with investment in FinTech, IT and Accountancy Apprenticeship opportunities
TUESDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 2020
FinTrU has maintained its rapid growth this year through its Assured Skills Academies, Placement Programmes and Experienced Hires across a range of departments in both Belfast and the North West. In addition to these opportunities, FinTrU has continued to invest in skills and development programmes for 8 Apprentices in areas such as FinTech, IT and Accountancy. FinTrU's investment in Apprenticeships allows their employees to gain industry recognised qualifications, whilst applying that knowledge to their career at FinTrU.
This summer has seen 5 FinTech Apprentices join FinTrU through the Financial Technology degree at Ulster University. This is the first degree of its kind in the UK and FinTrU is a proud supporter of this opportunity through its partnership with UU. FinTrU also supports 3 Apprentices as they complete their professional qualifications to become Accounts Technicians and Computer Science Graduates.
FinTrU Founder & CEO, Darragh McCarthy, said of the investment "FinTrU has always been heavily focused on the learning and development of our employees. To be able to support 8 Apprentices in their studies, whilst giving them the opportunity to work on the global stage with us is a fantastic opportunity and something that we are proud to support."
During a year of continued growth, FinTrU did not furlough any employees and is on track to have hired over 300 employees in 2020, bringing the employee count to 700 people across Belfast and Derry/Londonderry by year end.
