DARRAGH MCCARTHY
FOUNDER & CEO
Darragh McCarthy is the CEO and Founder of FinTrU. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1994 and remained there until late 2012. During his time at Morgan Stanley, Darragh was based in London, Frankfurt and New York and held various responsibilities including Global COO for Institutional Securities, COO for EMEA, Head of Fixed Income Sales North America and Head of Fixed Income Sales EMEA.
In 2013 Darragh founded FinTrU recognising the increasing demand from Global Investment Banks for high-quality resources to navigate the ever-increasing regulatory landscape. Whilst managed as a profit-driven organisation, Darragh also considers FinTrU as having a social purpose to create high-quality professional employment on the island of Ireland.
Darragh has a First Class Honours BComm International from University College of Dublin, Ireland. He has been nominated for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. Darragh speaks fluent German and Dutch.

FinTrU announces two-year sponsorship deal with Grosvenor Rugby Club

FinTrU is pleased to announce a 2-year sponsorship deal with Grosvenor Rugby Club.
Grosvenor Rugby Club was formed in 1953 by former pupils of Grosvenor school and is one of the leading rugby clubs in Belfast. Based at Gibson Park, off Cregagh Road, they have been shortlisted for ‘Ulster Club of the Year’ three times in recent years. Fielding three adult sides, they are enjoying considerable playing success, gaining promotion to Ulster Championship 1 in 2018 and winning the McCrea Cup at Kingspan stadium in April 2019.
Darragh McCarthy, FinTrU Founder & CEO, said “a number of FinTrU employees play for Grosvenor and we are more than happy to help back their passions outside of their work. Their success on the pitch is a result of their commitment and we are extremely proud of that. It also helps promote the importance of health and wellbeing and we are pleased to support this message also."
