Conor's a high achiever
Analyst 2 Conor Doyle takes top prize at the CISI Awards

Conor picks up his award from BBC newsreader Huw Edwards

Conor with his mum in Mansion House
How did it feel to win the award for highest achiever in the CISI Introduction to Investment certificate?
To be honest I was quite surprised when I found out that I won the award but it meant a lot as I had worked hard to balance work/study throughout the three exam elements.
I felt proud that the award recognised the hard work I had put in throughout the year, but none of it would have been possible without the support of FinTrU giving me the opportunity to learn and sit the exams. A special mention to my manager Aisling McGreevy too as she provided me with great support throughout the course.
WHAT WAS THE AWARD FOR?
I achieved the highest score in 2021 in the CISI introduction to investment certificate. This comprised of two compulsory modules - introduction to investment and UK financial regulation and a third optional module, combatting financial crime, which I chose as it was closely related to what I do in work.
You picked up your award at The CISI AWARDS Event, how was the Experience?
Mansion house [London] is definitely the most impressive building I have ever been in!
I got the chance to meet with other award winners in the financial services industry, from recent graduates to experienced high-level achievers. It was interesting to see the various career paths available in the industry and the reach CISI has with people from all around the UK, Europe and as far as Asia.
Did you take a guest?
I brought my mum to the event as my guest. She has always been supportive of me throughout my academic and professional life, so it was very special to share the experience with her.
